Melamine Faced MDF Sheeting
We offer full-sized panels, cut to size pieces and wood shapes. Our Melamine MDF panels are available in two thicknesses: 15mm and 18mm Melamine MDF boards. The maximum sheet size available is 2440mm by 1220mm.
You can fit a Melamine faced MDF board yourself with minimal tools and effort. White MDF can be effortlessly and securely glued, dowelled, or fixed with screws, as it does not split easily. Melamine sheeting is easy to screw and does not bend or crack, provided a sufficient distance from the edge is chosen, and appropriate pilot holes are drilled beforehand.
Our cut to size Melamine MDF sheeting is FSC® Certified and CE Marked and manufactured to BS - EN622-5 – E1 Formaldehyde emission. The MDF boards which we supply are sustainably sourced, so you can enjoy an affordable, dependable wood product while knowing the environment was not harmed by its production.
Melamine MDF panels are not moisture resistant, so they should be used indoors, and the edges sealed (if a board without matching edges is chosen) to protect the sheeting from humidity. However, the laminate is very durable and offers protection against some water damage, for example from small spills and temporary moisture exposure, provided they are dealt with promptly.
If you are looking for made to measure wood sheets designed to perform in humid conditions, we also offer panels for this purpose; moisture resistant MDF, marine ply or Standard MDF is graded with a Euroclass D Fire Rating, but you can buy a Flame Retardant MDF, which will hamper the spread of fire by up to 30 minutes.
